In the framework of the IMIEU activities on Innovation and Circular Economy, Climate Mitigation / Climate Neutrality for the Western Balkan countries and the Mediterranean, Frank Neumann of IMIEU participated in a joint meeting with experts from The Ministry of Education and the Institute of Power Engineering in Moldova. Besides this well organised pleasant meeting, also a very fruitful visit to the Dutch Representation in Chisinau took place. The use of Environmental Robotics and Drones for amongst others Agricultural Production as well as Energy Infrastructure was discussed.

Peter Hack, the founder of REDstack, Rik Siebers, the Director of REDstack, and Frank Neumann of IMIEU met in an online video conference with a representation of the Cabinet Timmermans (o.a. Mr Diederik Samsom) on 5 May 2020, discussion possibilities within the New Green Deal for the upscaling of the RED salinity gradient technology.               Just recently, IMIEU was selected as the lead organizer by DG ENERGY of the European Commission for the session 19 June regarding  “Green hydrogen decoupling the European energy network” at the High-Level Policy Conference during the Sustainable Energy Week of the European Commission in Brussels. The session had more than 250 participants.   The session brought together key industrial corporations (Toyota, Engie, Redstack), European Authorities ( DG ENERGY, and the EU Commission’s Joint Project Undertaking on Hydrogen), key European stakeholders and trade associations (Hydrogen Europe, ESWET) as well as academia (Belfast Metropolitan College, University of Torino, University of Palermo).
