Breaking news: 28 and 29 September 2023- International Conference on Electric Airships and Transport, Surveillance, Telecom and Tourism- IMIEU will organise an International Seminar on Electric Airships in Nuerenberg, Germany, jointly with University of Erlangen, Frauenhofer Institute, Isopolar (Canada), and the University of Nuernberg. IMIEU has started exploring possibilities for projects in the field of renewable energies, osmotic energy, green infrastructure and circular economy in Bangladesh. INES at the 5 July Intergroup discussion on Biodiversity, Climate Change and Sustainable Development: The hybrid EP Intergroup meeting on 5 July, physically taking place at the European Parliament in Strasbourg, France, was organised by the Intergroup on Biodiversity, Climate Change and Sustainable Development, was  titled “The potential of Osmotic Energy to produce clean permanent electricity and green hydrogen – Accelerating the European Union’s energy transition”.This meeting was also organised in the perspective of MEPs Ms Maria da Graça Carvalho and Mr Christophe Grudler initiative on the amendments to the Renewable Energy Directive (REDII) to include ‘Osmotic Energy’. In the meeting, attention was paid to the various forms of Osmotic Power Production in Europe and their state of the art: RED, PRO and Nanotechnology. Thank you very much Professor Pant and Dr. Manish Tripathi and the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay for giving us the opportunity to host a panel discussion in the Design and Engineering of Lighter-Than-Air Systems Conference 2022 (DELTAs-2022). We would also like to thank the speakers Dr. Sohan Suvarna from Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, Nicolas Caeymaex, Project Leader from Flywin, Sylvain Allano from Flying Whales, Dr. David Sanchez from the Universidad de Sevilla, Prof. Kash Khorasani from Concordia University and Edwin Almanzar, Airship Pilot. The panel session was on “Artificial Intelligence and IT for Airship Flight Path Planning and Control”. Currently, there does not exist a solid auto-piloting method for airships (both, manned and unmanned), which is a key gap and business-economic risk in the technology if LTA applications are to become a reality.
